Current participation routes

Program applications are accepted throughout the year. Request dates at least 90 calendar days ahead. An application begins review; admission, available places, dates and delivery arrangements are confirmed separately. Volunteer and student interests are also welcome, with a defined role and any necessary approvals agreed before participation.

  • Volunteer contribution: explore the contribution areas and register your interests. A defined role, supervision and any necessary approvals must be agreed before service begins. Explore volunteering · Register volunteer interests.

  • Students and universities: discuss learning, internship, capstone or service-learning interests and the arrangements your institution requires. Academic credit and acceptance of hours are separate decisions. Review student routes · Register student interests.

  • Community initiatives: share an idea, offer to lead a new activity or introduce an independent project. Written approval is required before using FWF’s name, collecting contributions or representing an activity as an FWF project. Propose an initiative.

  • Program participation: review the relevant program and apply with your interests, background, motivation and preferred timing. Dates, eligibility, capacity and participation arrangements are confirmed separately. Explore programs · Apply for program participation.

  • Institutional or professional support: explain the contribution or collaboration you can offer. An inquiry does not establish an official partnership. Make a partnership inquiry.

Use the route for the opportunity

Volunteer roles focus on a defined contribution and supervision. Student opportunities also identify learning requirements and any institutional arrangements. Non-executive program participation has its own requirements.

Executive programs are separate offers with their own information and review process. Review the relevant program page, then use the executive program application. No payment is due with an initial application.

Confirmed events use the registration instructions on the actual event page. Review events and their status.

Read the current status before making plans. An interest category, proposed activity or past event is not a confirmed place. Paid jobs, volunteer roles, student projects, events and funding opportunities are distinct.
